Uzbekistan and the Netherlands Strengthen Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector! 

As part of the official working visit of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Netherlands, a series of important meetings were held focusing on the development of the agro-industrial sector, agricultural education, research, innovation, and modern farming technologies.

Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan held discussions with the leadership of leading Dutch institutions in agricultural education and innovation, including AERES Training Centre, World Horti Center (WHC), and Wageningen University & Research (WUR).

The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in horticulture and greenhouse production, training of qualified specialists for the agricultural sector, expansion of research partnerships, exchange of expertise, and the implementation of advanced international practices in agricultural production.

Special attention was given to innovative solutions for current industry challenges, the introduction of modern educational programs, and professional development initiatives for agricultural specialists.

Following the meetings, the parties reached agreements on further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation, implementing joint projects, and enhancing the transfer of knowledge and technologies between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands.

One of the practical outcomes of the visit was an agreement to organize a visit of AERES University representatives to Uzbekistan in July of this year.

The meetings marked an important step toward the wider adoption of modern agricultural technologies in Uzbekistan, strengthening human capital, enhancing the integration of science and industry, and advancing international cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.
