Visa Information – Republic of Uzbekistan

Foreign citizens and stateless persons may enter the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the applicable national immigration regulations.

Entry may be possible on the basis of one of the following regimes:

  • Visa-free entry (for eligible countries in accordance with current agreements)
  • Electronic visa (e-visa) system
  • Visa issued by the diplomatic missions or consular posts of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad
  • Other entry procedures as defined by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Electronic Visa (E-Visa)

The Republic of Uzbekistan operates an electronic visa (e-visa) system for eligible foreign nationals. Applications are submitted online through the official state portal. The e-visa is generally issued for tourism purposes and allows entry for a limited stay period in accordance with applicable regulations.

Visa-Free Entry

Citizens of certain countries may enter Uzbekistan without a visa for short-term stays. The list of eligible countries, permitted duration of stay, and applicable conditions are determined by bilateral and unilateral agreements and may be updated from time to time.

Visa Application via Embassies and Consulates

Foreign nationals who are not eligible for visa-free entry or e-visa must obtain a visa prior to arrival through the diplomatic missions or consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Depending on the visa type, applicants may be required to provide standard supporting documents such as:

  • Valid passport
  • Completed visa application form
  • Photograph
  • Supporting documents or invitation, where applicable

Visa Support (Invitation Requirement)

For certain visa categories, including business-related purposes, an official invitation or visa support may be required. Requirements depend on the visa type and the applicant’s nationality in accordance with current regulations.
