And the FAO Office in Uzbekistan is actively working to contribute to ensuring food security, ” said Professor Aziz Nurbekov, a consultant on drought risk management at the FAO Office in Uzbekistan.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on November 17 handed over modern equipment to owners of household plots in Kamashi district of Kashkadarya region. The donated equipment includes 14 water pumps and 5 foreign brand motor cultivators.
The FAO in the same district also plans to build 14 greenhouses.
