Uzbekistan Bets on Agricultural Drones: Digital Technologies Take Centre Stage at AgroExpo Uzbekistan 2026

As Uzbekistan develops agricultural drone manufacturing in the Fergana Region, digitalisation and innovative technologies are becoming increasingly important for the country’s agricultural sector. These developments will be highlighted in a dedicated business programme at AgroExpo Uzbekistan 2026.

Uzbekistan is steadily expanding the use of modern technologies in agriculture. One of the most promising areas is the application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which can improve agricultural productivity, optimise resource use and enable more precise monitoring of farmland.

An important step in this direction is the planned establishment of the FSTU Aeroinjinering Technology Park in the Fergana Region. The project is being implemented in cooperation with a Chinese investor at Fergana State Technical University.

The technology park is expected to specialise in the production and assembly of agricultural drones, the manufacture of components and spare parts, as well as testing, maintenance and repair services. Particular attention will also be given to training and certifying drone operators.

Agricultural drones can be used to monitor crop conditions, apply mineral fertilisers, spray crop protection products and assess the phytosanitary condition of agricultural land.

The development of such projects creates new opportunities to modernise agriculture, increase productivity and introduce precision farming practices.

Agricultural Digitalisation at AgroExpo Uzbekistan 2026

This growing focus on innovation will be reflected in a dedicated business programme entitled “Digitalisation and the Introduction of Innovative Technologies in Uzbekistan’s Agricultural Sector”, taking place on 25 November 2026 as part of AgroExpo Uzbekistan.

The programme will focus on modern digital solutions, the development of unmanned aerial technologies and their practical applications in the country’s agricultural sector.

Representatives of relevant government institutions and businesses are scheduled to deliver presentations.

Key topics and speakers include:

  • Official Opening: Izyatilla Ikramov, Head of the Department for the Implementation of Information and Communication Technologies and Digitalisation in the Agricultural Sector.
  • “Drone Technologies in Uzbekistan’s Agricultural Sector: Development History and Future Prospects”: Nurali Urunov, Director of Drone Service LLC.
  • “Digitalisation of Uzbekistan’s Agricultural Sector”: Aziz Khakimov, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Development Department.

The business programme will provide a platform to discuss ongoing technological developments, exchange professional expertise and explore opportunities for introducing digital solutions across the agricultural industry.

Technologies Shaping the Future of Agriculture

The development of agricultural drone manufacturing, the training of qualified operators and the introduction of digital tools demonstrate Uzbekistan’s growing commitment to an innovative agricultural model.

For agricultural businesses, these technologies offer more than improved operational efficiency. They represent an important step towards the more efficient use of land, water and other resources.

AgroExpo Uzbekistan 2026 continues to strengthen its role as a professional platform bringing together government representatives, international companies, agricultural machinery manufacturers and industry specialists.
