The President instructed to take measures to increase the efficiency of irrigated land use
11.10.2017

In recent months, the development of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, as well as the organizations subordinate to it, is at the center of public attention. Services responsible for veterinary and forestry have become independent departments, which contributes to the concentration of the Ministry on the production of agricultural products.

At the same time, the President of the Republic Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the working trips to the regions made a number of initiatives on restructuring the sown areas and modernizing agriculture – turning it into a branch of high and resource-saving technologies, many of which have already been launched. The introduction gets started of drip and water-saving equipment, the construction of greenhouses based on hydroponic technologies, the renewal of the machine and tractor fleet of agricultural machinery, as well as the widespread use of unmanned aerial vehicles are planned. Much attention is paid to the development of livestock, poultry, and fish farming. And this is not a complete list of projects planned for implementation.

All this will help to ensure that citizens of Uzbekistan all year round enjoy useful and tasty food, as well as an increase in the country’s export potential.

At the same time, Uzbekistan Today invites its readers to discuss these issues within the Temporarily Available Project, the next participant of which is the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zoyir Toirovich Mirzayev.
